I. WHAT IS MISS MUTYA?

Miss Mutya is a competition open to all female Second Life residents. Its primary aim is to search for the most stylish and classy lady who will best represent the Casa del Shai brand. The word “mutya” means jewel, and signifies strength and beauty — 2 important qualities we seek in the woman who will wear the Miss Mutya crown. Miss Mutya is organized and presented by Casa del Shai, Pixel Icon Inc. and La Mode School of Fashion and Agency.

II. HOW TO JOIN

1. Style an outfit using Casa del Shai clothing. Use of Casa del Shai skin/make-up is encouraged but not required.
2. Post 2 photos of yourself (full body and head shot) wearing the outfit on Flickr and put the Casa del Shai link (http://www.casadelshai.com) on the description.
3. Put this as a title/headline: MISS MUTYA 2011 – CASA DEL SHAI MODEL SEARCH ENTRY
4. Add your photo to the Miss Mutya 2011 Flickr  Group.
5. The Mutya Council which consists of officers from the 3 major sponsors will select the top 8 contestants, who will compete at the runway show and pageant.

Its time for ultra luxe glam and the billowing chiffon dress beckons. Casa del Shai welcomes La Eleganza. A sophisticated nod to this season’s Summer Nudes but with a twist of gold. Sculpted front bodice capped up with twisted gold cord at the neck. A gold braided belt ties everything in, worn with a full flowing skirt.

This is the gown for the summer’s big event. Take it away, La Eleganza!

Somewhere, inside a little closet, hides a tiny discarded bedraggled sack doll. Roughly hewn and faded, it smiles back like a faded memory of long lost nightmares and crawled out dreams. This Halloween, it comes out to haunt you as shakes, rattles with a new life.

The Kulam Sack doll Avatars is our first sculpted tiny avatar venture into the realm of wicked witchcraft. These dolls are handpainted in Photoshop, sculpted in Maya and brought to life with scripted Blinking Eyes!

Each doll comes with its own personality:

Punk is an mohawked pierced with a needle teenage boy. Pinned is a do-gooder, fashionably cool with his neatly pinned body and a newsboy cap. Pirate is a buccaneer complete with a scabbard and a bandanna. Rollers is your regular fabulously coifed, dolled up Lady in lipstick. Stitches is almost done up but not quite, his arms off-kilter as its sewn midway.

Kulam is a Filipino word for witchcraft and sorcery.

Only sold at Casa del Shai sim and XStreet SL.

We would remiss if we didn’t give members of the Shai Shopaholics inworld and subscribe-o-matics groups an opportunity to enter the “Jungle Survivalist” contest.

In the spirit of Bear Grylls (Man vs. Wild) and Les Stroud (Survivorman), Shai Delacroix brings you the “Jungle Survivalist” Flickr contest. Conquer your fear, suspend your thirst and hunger before plunging into a photographic adventure with Casa Del Shai on your tool belt.

You don’t have to kill and kill a gila monster with your bare hands or use your pants to purify dirty water. Just use your imagination to capture the spirit of human perserverance amidst the backdrop of unforgiving jungle foliage and you could win Casa Del Shai Goodies.

After painstakingly spilling over the submissions for Casa Del Shai’s “Life is a Cabaret, Old Chum” Flickr contest with a cigarette in one hand, a glass of cabernet in the other and classic Nina Simone playing in the background, it is my pleasure to announce the winners.

Introducing the Casa del Shai Holiday Release for 2008, a collaboration between Shai and Luth Brodie of Reel Expression.

The Mein Herr Costume is a tribute to the fabulous performance by Liza Minelli. As the Cabaret theme goes, this snazzy outfit includes a sculpted bowler hat,  the bowler hat with Liza’s curly black hair, Leather Vest in all layers, Sequined Shorts, garters, stockings, and a black studded choker.

The Bowler Hat is also sold separately so our men can be all dapper this season!  The hat comes in singles or the bowler 3 color packs, or you can buy a bowler hat with hair separately.
