2007 is a shiny disco ball

I am so excited. I can’t keep myself from squeeling. This new year is gonna be a blast. 2006 was an eye opener, a chance to rediscover new horizons. I am quite thankful for all that was shared especially the love (DGL). 2007 will be the year to reach for the stars with all the lessons learned and the ideals realized. As Irene Cara belted out: “Take your passions and make it happen.”  The heavens will be dancing to disco . John Travolta will be my partner, while I click my platform heels and he eats my sunglasses. The new fashion is to be yourself, the kid from the 80s, the one who rocked billy jean and spun around in lighted dance floors. This new year, Gold is the new black.

Menno Ivy League Cardigans

This whole week in RL+SL has been a blur. A lot of new friendships and a new Casa hangout has been christened. I have finally popped out of the skybox convent and returned to socializing. The great thing about this is more inspiration. Last week’s inspiration came from this sweet bundle of a guy named Menno. I was bowled over by his warmth and creativity, hanging out with him made me churn out this lovely cardigan for men. Toying a little on the emo/geek side, the Menno Cardigans are reminiscent of Ivy League boys we were crushing on growing up. Boys who run around capturing our hearts with their perfectly creased ties and dorky little smiles. Menno Mandigan

Grazia grazes an ankle

This week’s release is a dream of sheer chiffon. I have always loved the way chiffon skirts would feel on a lady’s smooth calves. The slight seduction of a twirl and the breezy billows of  summer wind in the vineyard. The Grazia Tube Sundress is a recreation of that feeling, like throwing your arms out and kissing someone without inhibitions. Or demurely swinging on a rubbertube under your favorite tree. Fondly recalling endless flirtations, I think I am anticipating summer too much. This dress is accessorized by a low slung wide belt and comes in 3 colours. Run through pussycat willows with them, its a happy feeling.
